1. Utilities & Government

SP Utilities: This is mandatory. It allows you to track your daily water, gas, and electricity consumption, pay your monthly bills instantly via PayNow, and submit accurate meter readings.

Singpass: Your digital identity. You will use this to officially update your residential address with the ICA (a legal requirement within 28 days of moving), digitally sign tenancy agreements, and access all government services.

Citymapper: While Google Maps is good, Citymapper is vastly superior for navigating Singapore's MRT and bus network. It tells you exactly which train carriage to board to be closest to your exit, minimizing walking time in the heat.

Grab / Gojek / Tada / Ryde: Do not rely on just one ride-hailing app. Surge pricing during peak hours or heavy rain can be brutal. Having all four installed allows you to instantly compare fares and book the cheapest option.
